Here we are, at the end of it all…false ceilings, lamps and fans.

(if you need help with some initial room designing, go to one of our previous blogs here: )

Now, quickly time travel to where all you have to do is make the ceiling!

Taking care of the ceiling, the fixtures on it and the moldings require really nothing much but an idea of what you want on it. Much like with the other room components, your Neo dashboard will have options on the menu (on your left) for exactly what you want by way of shape, texture, component, material and design.

Let’s start with moldings. Once you’ve chosen your moldings to try, and shortlisted them, they’ll turn up on the panel on the left, ready to be tried on. Bring up your layout and place the false ceiling components where you want them, click and drag them to fit your walls for measurement.

Here’s a tip: remember how in a previous video, we told you that you can clone a component, so you don’t have to worry about measuring it more than once and any action/addition you do to the original is replicated on them all? The same thing applies to any of the components that you use for the ceiling as well. This will help you save time having to measuring everything more than once.

Take a minute to look at what the ceiling looks like in 3D mode as well, so you can go back and make changes, should you desire it.

Now that that’s done, next stop: lights! If you go to the lighting options in the menu (again on your left) you will find options for all kinds of lights. Once you’ve shortlisted your lights, you’ll see them on the panel on the left, just like you did the moulding and false ceilings. Add them when you’re on the 3D mode so you know exactly what they look like in the room.

The deal with ceiling fans is exactly the same…choose from options in the menu and shortlist, then place it where you will in the room. Doing this in 2D mode will help you place it precisely where you want it, measurement-wise and BOOM! You’re done!

Now that it’s all designed, all you have to do is see what the final output looks like. Once you click the button to render your image, take a look at what the final output looks like.

Pretty snazzy huh?
