When you think of decorating a room from scratch, effortless may not necessarily be the first word that pops up. What if there was some way to change this though?
When you log into Neo to design something, the first thing to do is to draw up a floor plan for the room you have to design. Choosing the furniture for the inside is the next step.
To choose furniture on Neo, all you have to do is click on the product catalogue that appears on the left panel of your screen. Once the catalogue is opened, you can shortlist multiple options for the same product and save them to test them out later. To do this, click on the little heart at the bottom of the picture of the product you like and it gets automatically added to your shortlist. This means that you don’t have to keep going back and forth looking for something you liked a while ago!
Sidebar: did you know that you can do this with windows, doors and practically any fixtures you need in the house?
When you are done with choosing what you need, go back to your layout and start placing your furniture. You can place them either in 2D or 3D mode, change the angle, rotate, move and replicate any product as much and as many times as you like.
Though, what if the bed you chose just does not fit with everything else? Easy, click on the bed, click on the “Similar Products” button on the toolbar on top of your layout page and find options from the Neo product catalogue, similar to the product selected, and replace! That’s it!
You can use the same method to place accessories around the room, windows, window fittings, ceiling fixtures, lights and much more around the room, by just looking at the product catalogue for inspiration and ideas.
You can also add colour and texture to your walls in the design, in a similar easy fashion. The product catalogue also offers a variety of options of texture that you can shortlist and try on multiple times before locking down on a final result.
And Neo’s awesomeness does not end there! If it feels like you need inspiration or like either a product or texture from the inspirations provided in the catalogue, you can get there directly, without having to scramble around for them. To use products form inspirations, open the dashboard and click on the inspirations panel. You can click on several products from different inspirations and add them to your shortlist by ticking them off from the list in the panel on the right. They should appear in your shortlist right away, automatically! You can also add whole projects to the shortlist to tweak and tinker with to your heart’s content. Isn’t that neat?
Did you know that you can personalize your project by adding your own paintings, pictures and more instead of the stock images that are available? Say you want a different painting in the frame over the bed, all you have to do is click on the frame and replace it.
Get spoilt with options while designing on Neo. You can simply click on a product and click on ‘similar products’ to explore a host of other designs. One click on it and bam! It gets replaced with the one you just chose.
Alternatively you can upload a texture or a painting you like in three simple steps. Press Shift and click on your object. Click on the texture tab and choose new texture. Then upload an image which you like and click on it to instantly have your own chosen image as part of your project. With Neo personalization comes easy and ease of use comes easier.
You can use this technique to change the texture and the prints of practically every surface in the room you are designing!
So, once you’ve tried doing all of this on your own, don’t forget to look at the final product in every angle, render a high-quality image and pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
